Swavalambi Jr. College of Education has been recognized as per Government letter No. PAV/1070/10001/T/9733 dated 7th May 1971. In the past, a pre-primary course was conducted here. According to the new policy of the Government, the Diploma in Elementary Education Course is now implemented. Government has approved this college as private aided.

In the staffing pattern, 1 principal, 4 teacher educators, 1 clerk, and 2 peons are approved by the Honorable Deputy Director of Education, Nagpur. All staff members are well-qualified as per N.C.T.E. norms.
Swavalambi Jr. College of Education (D.Ed.), Wardha, is combined with Swavalambi College of Education (B.Ed.), Wardha. It is well-equipped with an Education Technology lab, library, and other infrastructure facilities related to Swavalambi Jr. College of Education, Wardha. The college has a playground and other necessary academic and extracurricular facilities. Various activities are implemented to improve the student-teachers' personalities. The results of Swavalambi Jr. College of Education, Wardha, are excellent, with near 100% pass rates.
